Following last week’s attack on WWE SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes will step into the ring with LA Knight on October 11, 2024.
Last week’s show saw Hayes face AJ Styles only for that match to end when The Phenomenal One suffered an injury.
As can be seen below this news story, LA Knight would pick his moment to attack Hayes after the match ended.
Ahead of their match on WWE SmackDown, the United States Champion sent a message on Twitter to the fans that read:
“Greenville gets to watch me embarrass @Carmelo_WWE up close and personal.
“No better way to spend a Friday night in my opinion…YEAH”
The message caught the attention of Hayes who took issue with it, tweeting:
“Chat GPT ass tweet”
LA Knight had violence on his mind in his response which read:
“You’ll need it to form thoughts after tomorrow rook”
Carmelo Hayes wouldn’t stop with his antagonism, sending back the reply:
“2K MyCareer ass response”
In his own assessment of the match, Hayes tweeted out:
“Cream rises to the top.
” #AndNew #Smackdown”
So far, Knight has been silent, although that could change as the hours to WWE SmackDown tick down.
Cream rises to the top.
