A former champion in another company has shared an emotional message after appearing in the WWE Royal Rumble.
WWE Royal Rumble Riyadh took place on January 31, with Mr Iguana entering the ring as entrant no 9, rapidly finding himself (and Yezca) on the receiving end of a double chokeslam from Damian Priest.
Mr Iguana would be eliminated by entrant number 10, Trick Williams, marking the end of his Royal Rumble after just 2m 5s.
Speaking with WWE Español, the AAA star has now addressed his participation in this year’s Royal Rumble.
Getting emotional while commenting on his appearance, Mr Iguana said:
“So far from home, but so close to everyone. A great experience. The dream came true, and we’re here.
“A year ago, I didn’t know where I’d be, and today I’m here with all these superstars on the other side of the world.
“I just want to thank the WWE Universe, the fans, and everyone. A dream came true, and, honestly, it really moves me.
“It’s a wild ride that I never imagined possible, and it’s happening, and there’s so much more to come.
“But, listening to the reaction and everything, that’s why we’re here, and we’ll continue here.
“We still need to get more green.”

2025 was quite the year for Mr. Iguana, making his WWE debut at the AAA crossover Worlds Collide show in June and going onto appear on Raw for the first time in August.
A former AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion with La Hiedra, the duo would lose the title to WWE’s Chelsea Green & Ethan Page in November.
