Former WWE NXT Champion Ricky Saints has addressed fan comparisons to The Rock throughout his wrestling career.
Since his rise in the wrestling industry, Ricky Saints has drawn a lot of comparisons from fans to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Saints, then Ricky Starks, infamously took part in a promo battle with Adam Copeland in AEW, where Copeland noted that he ‘took his style’ from The Rock, as well as fans comparing his recent ‘Ricky Saints Experience’ segment on NXT to Rock’s old Rock Concerts.
Ricky Saints Addresses Comparisons To The Rock
Speaking to TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Ricky addressed comparisons made to The Rock.
He said:
“Talking to his daughter, she would argue that’s not the case (looking like The Rock). She denies that at all.
“Getting compared to The Rock is fine at this point, it doesn’t bother me, it genuinely doesn’t. I think it’s kinda funny when, you do one thing The Rock does and everyone’s like ‘see we knew it! We knew you were trying to be like The Rock for years and years!’ Shut up, oh my God.
“Saying that I look like The Rock, if that’s the worst insult you have, that means I’m pretty damn attractive. The whole ‘Temu Rock’, hey buddy, you’re shopping on Temu? Wow.
“At this point I hear it so much that I find it funny, I used to get Mark Wahlberg at certain points. Matt Damon, I’ve got Matt Damon before.”

Ricky Saints WWE Main Roster Potential
With Ricky Saints coming up short in his attempt to become NXT Champion at Stand & Deliver, coming up short to Tony D’Angelo, speculation continues to mount about a potential main roster call up for him after WrestleMania 42.
Prior to Saints’ arrival in NXT, he was a name touted as having a high ceiling in WWE due to his unique charisma and presence that helped him stand out during his time in All Elite Wrestling.
Saints would join the main roster with a pretty stacked list of accolades, having won both the NXT and North American Championships in just over a year in the developmental brand.
However, WWE’s roster remains stacked, with even more names looking to break out after WrestleMania, so Ricky may be a name who has a transitional period finding his footing before reaching success on the main roster, akin to the likes of Carmelo Hayes prior to him.
