A WWE star has shared his first comments after returning to the ring following over a year out of action.
The November 24 NXT house show in Bartlow saw a star return to the ring following a 13 month injury hiatus.
Malik Blade competed in a losing effort against recent signee Cyril Coquerelle, who previously wrestled as Aigle Blanc prior to signing with WWE.
This marked Malik Blade’s first match since the October 18, 2024 NXT Level Up taping, which saw him lose to Tavion Heights.
Blade has now commented on his return, sharing WrestleTalk’s Twitter post about his in-ring comeback.
He captioned his repost:
We are so back!
Blade had been out of action due to an ACL injury he suffered in October 2024.
During his time away, his former tag team partner Edris Enofe pursued a singles career on Evolve but later requested and was granted his release from WWE.
Originally trained by D-Von Dudley, Malik Blade signed with WWE in 2021 and debuted during the NXT 2.0 era when he formed the team alongside Enofe.
