Former WWE Champion Big E has addressed his in-ring status, providing a definitive answer on whether or not he has retired from pro-wrestling.

Big E hasn’t wrestled since suffering a serious neck injury during his match with Kofi Kingston against Ridge Holland and Sheamus on the March 11, 2022 edition of SmackDown.

While many fans have speculated about Big E potentially returning to the ring, the former New Day member has revealed that he considers his in-ring career to now be over.

Speaking with Compas On The Beat, Big E discussed his current WWE broadcaster role, noting that he didn’t initially see himself going in this direction when his wrestling career was wrapping up.

When Fernando Ramirez asked for clarification on his retirement status, Big E said:

“I’m content. In wrestling they always say ‘never say never’,  but right now I’m retired, and that for me is it. I’m focused on other things right now.”
