A WWE name has revealed that they will be absent for the upcoming episode of Raw, which will feature a tribute to a recently retired star.
The February 23 episode of WWE Raw takes place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, with a tribute to AJ Styles, who is expected to “address the WWE Universe one final time.”
Backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond has confirmed that she will not be in attendance for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, noting logistical issues as the cause, tweeting:
“I won’t be on #WWERAW tonight, for those who have asked. Can’t get there in time.
“But I WILL be in LA for Artemi Panarin’s debut with the LA Kings on @NHL_On_TNT Wednesday!”
Previous reports indicated that travel issues due to weather could affect Raw, “mostly on the production side.”
Alongside the tribute to AJ Styles, tonight’s episode will also see two more qualifying matches for the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed vs. Original El Grande Americano will see the winner join Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
The women’s Elimination Chamber match will see either IYO SKY, Kairi Sane or Raquel Rodriguez join Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, Kiana James, Asuka and Alexa Bliss at the February 28 Premium Live Event.
WWE Elimination Chamber will also see Becky Lynch defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against AJ Lee, while CM Punk puts the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Finn Balor.
In a follow-up to her earlier tweet, Redmond would confirm that she will be at WWE Elimination Chamber on Saturday at United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
