A surprise WWE Raw debut took place during tonight’s August 18 episode of the show emanating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Two nights ago, the AAA TripleMania XXXIII event took place, with plenty of WWE presence throughout the show and it airing on WWE’s YouTube channels.
One of the matches on that show saw NXT‘s Lola Vice team up with Mr Iguana and Nino Hamburguesa against the Judgment Day trio of Raquel Rodriguez, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
Mr Iguana in particular has been one of the most featured stars since WWE’s acquisition of AAA, and it doesn’t look like that’s about to change.
Announced during a match between Rodriguez and IYO SKY tonight on Raw was a match for later in the show that will see Balor and McDonagh team up against Mr Iguana and Dragon Lee.
Iguana had a match on SmackDown recently, but this was his Raw debut. Balor and McDonagh picked up the win, with Balor pinning Lee.
Dragon Lee for his part also featured at TripleMania, as the main event saw El Hijo Del Vikingo retain the AAA Mega Championship in a four-way against Lee, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
At the next Worlds Collide event on September 12, Vikingo will defend the title one-on-one against Mysterio.
