A WWE SmackDown star has pushed for a current NXT champion to get a main roster call-up and her ideal pitch for his arrival.
Currently performing on WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green is often accompanied by her Secret Hervice teammates, Piper Niven and Alba Fyre.
Collectively known as The Green Regime, the trio recently made their way to NXT, with Ethan Page being brought into their alliance during their time on the developmental brand.
While they may be the “Canadian saviors” of NXT, Green is interested in seeing Page head to the main roster, following a recent report that his name was pitched for a call-up.
Speaking to USA Today, Green shared her belief that it is her job to get Page onto the main roster, saying:
“(Page) absolutely deserves everything in wrestling that he’s ever got, and now I feel like it’s my job to make sure the main roster sees him as a main roster talent.”
When it comes to what form the call-up would take, Green suggested that the NXT North American Champion could stay allied with her, stating:
“I also hope that he stays with us. I think that we’ve learned so much from him, he’s learned so much from us, and we have just made kind of the perfect unit.”
Green may be effusive about the future of Ethan Page, but his most recent NXT outing saw a loss to Tavion Heights in a rarely seen Flag Match.
The September 9 loss then saw Tyler Breeze make a return to WWE, setting up a match against Page at NXT Homecoming.
Several other main roster stars will be in action at the September 16 NXT Homecoming TV special, with Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton set for a match on the show.
