A top WWE NXT star has now officially joined the SmackDown roster following the show’s move to three hours tonight.
In recent weeks, a number of WWE NXT stars have appeared on main roster WWE television as ‘free agents’, with them set to sign with either Raw or SmackDown.
On last week’s SmackDown, former NXT Champion Trick Williams appeared in a backstage segment with Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis, as well as appearing on this week’s episode of Raw.
However, we now know where Trick Williams’ future lies, as he interrupted Sami Zayn on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, announcing that he has officially joined the SmackDown roster, vowing to become world champion.
Backstage later in the show, Trick got in the face of Rey Fenix backstage, with Fenix looking to teach Trick a lesson, before it was announced by Nick Aldis that Trick’s official SmackDown debut will take place next week against Fenix.
Trick wasn’t the only NXT star to appear on tonight’s SmackDown, with Jordynne Grace also appearing in a backstage segment with Nick Aldis looking to bring her to the brand.
Matt Cardona also made his return to WWE on tonight’s show, officially joining the SmackDown roster.
