A SmackDown star has pitched taking over as WWE NXT General Manager following the recent departure of a fellow roster member.
On Friday, January 30, Ava announced that her time as NXT General Manager was over and that she was parting ways with WWE.
With her decision not to renew her WWE contract, last week’s episode of NXT marked the last time she would serve as the brand’s General Manager.
Former WWE star Shayna Baszler would subsequently pitch herself as NXT General Manager, with another name now thrown into the proverbial hat.
A two-time WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green believes that she has the credentials to run NXT, as stated in a post on Twitter that reads:
“Hey @WWENXT
“I’ll be your new GM. I know a thing or two about running a continent… How hard can one little company be? 🤷🏻♀️”
Green is no stranger to NXT, having competed there regularly during her previous run in WWE and during her current tenure, as recently as December of last year, defending the Women’s United States Championship against Sol Ruca.
Recently, she has also been allied with NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, who has previously explained why their partnership has worked so well.
The now former champion would lose the Women’s United States Championship to Giulia on the January 2 episode of WWE SmackDown.
