WWE’s Nattie Shares Update On The Dungeon’s Future

The Dungeon with WWE stars Natalya and TJ Wilson

WWE star Nattie has shared an update on the future of The Dungeon 2.0 wrestling school, which she runs with TJ Wilson.

An “invite-only” training environment, The Dungeon has seen a number of WWE, AEW and independent wrestling stars take part in its intense training sessions, with Jacob Fatu previously stating that there’s no “superstar treatment“.

During a recent interview on Battleground Podcast, Nattie was asked if the school could move away from its “invite-only” model, responding:

“One day, if the opportunity presents itself, we definitely could.

“But, the way it stands right now, and I’m going to be brutally honest: if you don’t have the passion and you aren’t someone I see that you love this business with every ounce of your being, I don’t want you at The Dungeon.

“That’s why it’s invite-only. I don’t charge… TJ and I have never charged anybody a dollar to come into The Dungeon. We spend a lot of money keeping it open, but it’s a passion project for us because I only want to work with people that have a deep passion for this.

“And so, it’s why, like, if I take someone’s money, for example, and I don’t like you and I don’t like your attitude, or you’re just not the right fit, or you don’t come and bring great things to the table, I can’t work with you.”

Liv Morgan has described The Dungeon as “the most pure place in all of wrestling” in recent comments, having been invited to train there by Nattie.

The Cost Of The Passion Project

With the quality of Nattie and TJ Wilson, it’s highly likely that the pair could make a considerable amount of money by running The Dungeon as an open-to-all facility, yet they continue to be selective in who they allow to step into the ring.

Invite-only and free of charge it may be, but, as Nattie notes, it costs money to run the facility.

Whether it be building maintenance, utility costs or insurance, there’s no doubt a hefty amount of outlay on a monthly basis to ensure that The Dungeon is up to code and, just as importantly, safe for all the attendees.

Fans have gotten an insight into what happens at The Dungeon thanks to the official Instagram account, serving as not only a celebration of successes but a look at the intensity of many sessions.

It isn’t just Nattie and Wilson who share their knowledge, either, with the likes of John Cena having delivered a session and praising what is being offered at The Dungeon. He’s far from the only star to impart his wisdom to a cohort that includes talent from across the wrestling landscape.

Standing on the outside, we are unlikely to ever know the true cost of The Dungeon, but what we do so is the passion that Nattie seeks to bring to the facility and the results that it produces.
