WWE star Michin has revealed that, when she was younger, she sent a “hate letter” to Stephanie McMahon and was hoping for a reply.
The admission came on a recent episode of What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, in which Michin looked back at the letter that she had sent.
It transpired that Michin was responding to WWE giving out an address where fans could send mail, with the very young Mia Yim choosing that moment to practise her writing skills, saying:
“Back in the day you guys used to have ‘send your fan mail to…’ and I sent a hate letter to you. I was just learning how to write and everything. I was honestly waiting for a letter back.
“I don’t (remember what was written in the letter), but it wasn’t nice. It was like ‘I hate Stephanie, she’s a bonehead. I hope The Rock Chokeslams her to hell.’”

Retribution was on offer in a moment during What’s Your Story? with Michin revealing she wants to get a Stephanie McMahon slap, saying:
“I’m still praying for a Stephanie slap one day, if it happens, bucket list.
“Pop my eardrum, please, please. It’ll be an honor.”

Michin would reveal that the slap that she delivered to the face of Jimmy Uso in 2023 was inspired by Stephanie.
During the interview, Michin would also share that she her current run, which sees her associated with Jade Cargill and B-Fab, as feeling more “authentic” than her time in NXT, touching upon her TNA Wrestling history.
The Rise Of Stephanie McMahon
Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, Stephanie McMahon is the only living member of the family to have seen inclusion.
While the star may have stated that “The McMahons were never supposed to be in the WWE Hall of Fame”, it’s difficult to imagine another reason why she shouldn’t be.
Being a member of the McMahon family, a future in WWE seemed assured, and it was something she would share with her brother, Shane. For Stephanie, her career would cover many roles, from in-ring talent, to general manager, commissioner and fundamental element of the McMahon-Helmsley Era and The Authority. With every appearance, she presented an entertaining character that evolved over the years to become a highlight of many stories.
It’s her path beyond the screen that also indicates why Stephanie was a shoo-in for the WWE Hall of Fame. Staring as an account executive and dabbling in many office-based responsibilities, she rose to be WWE chairwoman for a period before resigning from the company in January 2023, having also served as Chief Brand Officer, among a number of creative roles that included Senior Vice President of Creative Writing. Her legacy has also seen her introduce the Women’s Revolution, replacing the Divas Era.
It could be argued that Stephanie wasn’t going to be kept away for long, redirecting her career to where it is today which, while it may not include an executive position, continues to see her command considerable respect among her peers, contemporaries and a large section of the fanbase.
Stephanie has previously noted that the company is part of who she is as a person, saying that she learned she “will never get away from WWE ever”.
