WWE has announced Logan Paul is injured and out of action for “a number of months,” confirming the status of the World Tag Team Championship.
Paul defended and retained the World Tag Team Title alongside Austin Theory at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this past Saturday against the Street Profits.
However, Paul suffered a torn biceps injury during the course of the match, which Michael Cole announced tonight means he’ll be on the shelf for “a number of months.”
This opened up the question of what would happen with the World Tag Team Title, which Paul and Theory of The Vision had held since the end of March.
Thory went to The Vision’s manager Paul Heyman with that very question on WWE Raw tonight, with Heyman informing him that he will continue as champion, with Paul’s spot on the team being replaced by fellow member of The Vision, Bron Breakker.
Heyman said “any” Vision member is eligible to be champion, which in theory means Bronson Reed could return and fill that spot as well, but there’s been no word on his status and Heyman specifically named Breakker.
A few minutes later, Theory ambushed Joe Hendry in the ring, blaming Hendry in part for Paul’s injury and the torment of the ‘Fire Logan Paul’ song over the past few weeks.
Seth Rollins & Street Profits Issues Continue
In addition to Joe Hendry, another trio of names who have had issues with The Vision of late are Seth Rollins and the Street Profits.
However, Rollins can’t seem to get on the same page as Montez Ford in particular, with Ford trying to encourage Angelo Dawkins to stay away from Rollins and the Vision-related issues he brings with him.
As Dawkins and Rollins were having a conversation backstage tonight, Ford interrupted them and confronted Rollins, setting up a match for later tonight on WWE Raw in Columbus, Ohio.
