The status of a WWE championship that has not been defended since June 2025 has now been addressed.
A title that saw its origins back in NXT UK, the Heritage Cup was brought over to the Tuesday night show in April 2023.
The NXT Heritage Cup was last defended on the June 28 episode, with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo retaining over Dante Chen.
Since then, the NXT Heritage Cup has remained absent, although Lorenzo has since gone on to hold the TNA International Championship.
With the WWE roster page still recognizing Lorenzo as the NXT Heritage Cup holder, he has addressed the status of the championship.
Responding to a post on Twitter asking where the NXT Heritage Cup is, Lorenzo would confirm:
“Tony D’Angelhoe threw it in the Atlantic Ocean…I will find it one day.
“Until then….#Andstill”
Former faction mates with Lorenzo, Tony D’Angelo recently made his return to NXT after an absence of five months, laying out Je’Von Evans.
With further attacks committed by D’Angelo, he would later be carted off by the cops, courtesy of a call from now former NXT general manager Ava.

Until then….#Andstill https://t.co/WePL7e7xtR
