TNA Wrestling has announced an upcoming on-sale date for a live broadcast of TNA IMPACT from a familiar WWE location.
Sharing a graphic on Twitter, TNA Wrestling confirmed an upcoming taping from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
The caption read:
BREAKING: #TNAiMPACT! will be LIVE from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL on Thursday, February 20, followed by #TNAiMPACT! TV Tapings on Friday, February 21. Tickets go on-sale TOMORROW at 10am ET on http://TNAWrestling.com.
According to a report from PWInsider, the deal has been being worked on ‘for months’ but with ‘rumblings over the last few days’ that the deal had been completed ahead of the ticket on-sale announcement.
Also noted by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, TNA is apparently planning for “additional live broadcasts” of their flagship weekly show, Impact so it is expected that additional dates will be announced in the future.
Notably, TNA Wrestling has previously been reported to be looking for a ‘potential permanent home’ to film the series.
Previously when WWE NXT regularly taped at the University (before the pandemic moved tapings to the nearby WWE Performance Center), WWE would at times use students and staff in the production however PWInsider noted that there was no word on if TNA plans to follow suit.
