“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio has taken another swipe at his father’s legacy following comments made after his WWE Worlds Collide win.
The September 12 crossover event saw Mysterio become AAA Mega Champion, becoming the first WWE star to hold titles in both companies.
With Rey Mysterio having pointed out that he, too, was a double champion, Dominik Mysterio took another swipe at his legendary father.
Reacting to a post on Instagram from his “Deadbeat Dad”, Dominik Mysterio refered to his own father as “son”, diminishing his achievement further by commenting:
Good job, son. Maybe one day you’ll be as great as me.
Now post a pic of you holding the AAA Mega Championship 🖕
Dominik Mysterio also addressed the fans after Worlds Collide at the Cox Pavilion went off air, reaffirming that he deserved the win and strongly suggesting he was going to be a champion for a long time.
In footage shared on Instagram, Mysterio can be seen reacting to the “Dirty, Dirty Dom” chants from the fans, responding:
“You’re damn right I deserve this sh**. I don’t see another Mysterio who has ever won the Mega Championship. There’s never been another Mysterio who has been a double champ in two different companies.
“I’m here to stay, and you guys are witnessing history tonight because I’m the best to ever do it. I’m the Ken Griffey Jr of this b**ch.
“And, if you don’t know what that means, Dirty Dom is here to stay. Double Champ Forever. Good night.”

Ken Griffey Jr is a former baseball player with a twenty-two year MLB career and holds a joint record for the most consecutive games with a home run (eight games, alongside Dale Long and Don Mattingly).
Following “Dirty” Dom’s victory, Rey Mysterio would begrudgingly put the AAA Mega Championship around his son’s waist.
Rey Mysterio, who has been sidelined through injury since before WrestleMania 41 in April, is reportedly nearing his in-ring return.
