Chelsea Green has reacted to her recent championship loss, having been replaced in a match this weekend due to injury.
Last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw Chelsea Green suffer an injury during the qualifiers for the women’s Elimination Chamber match.
During the Triple Threat match with Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend, Green would pick up an injury that would lead to her being unable to defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Ethan Page the following evening.
Chelsea Green may have missed the show, but the titles would still be on the line, with La Hiedra stepping in to team up with Page in a losing effort to Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice.
No longer AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion, Green has slammed the Lucha Libre company’s management (and WWE’s authority figures in the process), tweeting:
“Horrific.
“And I thought @luchalibreaaa management were better than @WWE. 🙄”
An update has also emerged on the type of injury Green sustained, with it being noted as a bruise to the ankle, as opposed to a break.
Chelsea Green has had long-running issues with Nick Aldis, the SmackDown general manager, across social media and on-screen, and has also pitched herself for the role of NXT GM.
