A former WWE star has shared his critique of Oba Femi attacking Brock Lesnar on last week’s episode of Raw.
The opening segment of Raw saw Lesnar confront Seth Rollins, before Femi came out and laid out Lesnar, standing over him and pointing to the WrestleMania sign to confirm their Mania match.
On his YouTube channel, former WWE star Maven reacted to and reviewed Raw, including the Lesnar and Femi segment.
Maven Reacts To Brock Lesnar & Oba Femi
He said:
“WWE is great at building suspense. They’re always trying to find who that next superstar is. I know nothing about this kid, whether he can wrestle. I do know he’s impressive. He’s physically just a monster to look at.
“You just saw Brock tell him, ‘Put your foot on me, on my chest.’ Brock told him to do that. Remember, at this point, Brock’s such a veteran, he knows the business.
“He’s selling the hell out of this. And he sold it for the right amount of time, and then skedaddled, got out of dodge.
“They should have done something, in my opinion – again, I’m shooting YouTube videos, these sons of bitches are doing it – they didn’t protect Brock, his legacy, his toughness, by having it done the way they did it.
“They had him chase Seth out and then the timing just wasn’t perfect as he turned. It was a beat too long for Oba picking him up.
“It was just a tiny bit too much to where it was a little bit… awkward and uncomfortable. Timing’s everything.”

Maven Reviews AJ Lee vs. Bayley
Maven also shared his thoughts on the WWE Raw match between AJ Lee vs Bayley, saying:
“All in all, for watching the first match I’d ever seen AJ Lee compete in, I see why she has the popularity that she has.
“Of course, if I wanted to nitpick, there’s a couple of things that I don’t think they should have done.
“I think wrestlers – not female wrestlers, not male wrestlers, but wrestlers in general – I think they’re just too spot heavy. Meaning they have everything called to the point to where if it doesn’t go perfect, it doesn’t look right. But other than that, the finish of the match was great.
“I love that both girls, while pointed at the WrestleMania sign which is a little over a month away, I love that both girls were able to regroup to make sure that we got the finish that we got.”

WWE WrestleMania 42 Matches In Jeopardy
As far as more matches that look likely to be added to WrestleMania in addition to Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar, there are some that are dependent on talent returning from injuries in time.
Dominik Mysterio vs Finn Balor has looked inevitable, but Mysterio suffered a head injury against El Hijo Del Vikingo at WWE AAA Rey De Reyes that he will need to be cleared from within the next month.
UPDATE: Mysterio looks to be cleared, as WWE has announced he will challenge Penta for the Intercontinental Title on Raw.
Likewise, Bron Breakker vs Seth Rollins will need Breakker to be cleared for a return after undergoing hernia surgery in early February – you can read the latest update on his status and recovery at this link.
It also seemed WWE may have been heading towards a GUNTHER vs Rey Mysterio match, but Mysterio suffered a rib injury that has ruled him out for the time being as well.
