A WWE star has reflected on their time with AEW, calling their final appearance for the company a perfect ending.

The former Mariah May’s last AEW match saw her lose to Toni Storm in their Hollywood Ending match at the March 2025 Revolution pay-per-view, the culmination of a multi-year storyline.

With Blake Monroe going on to make her WWE debut on the June 3, 2025 NXT episode, the former AEW Women’s Champion has now reflected on her time with the company.

Revealing that she learned how to make fans feel something during this run, Monroe told Denise Salcedo:

“Like I said, I give 110% to everything I do, and I’m so passionate about wrestling, but also that taught me how to make people feel something. The way people still care so much, it means you did a good job.

“I feel like I’m constantly like, ‘Okay, how can I make people feel something? How can I make them care?’ Whether it’s a short comedy thing or whether it’s the chance to have a year and a half long feud.

“Our dearly beloved friend Mariah did pass away, she got killed off at the end there, but it felt like the perfect end for her and her story, and her impact on people. Now we start something new.”
