Triple H has addressed a newly announced title match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1, in Salt Lake City, UT.
Last night’s SmackDown in Tempe, AZ saw Tiffany Stratton pick up a win over former NXT teammate Kiana James, only to be jumped by Giulia and James after the bell.
While Jade Cargill helped ward off Stratton’s attackers, the former AEW star would then blindside the current WWE Women’s Champion and unleash a beatdown of her own, seemingly turning heel in the process.
With Cargill holding Stratton’s championship after the attack her intentions to claim the gold were crystal clear, with WWE later confirming that the pair will compete against one another for the title at next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Following the announcement, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took to Twitter to comment on the match writing:
Two incredible athletes… but only one can be WWE Women’s Champion.
@tiffstrattonwwe vs. @Jade_Cargill at #SNME.
This led to a response from Cargill herself, who vowed that she would be “that one” to take home the gold next Saturday:
Correct — and that one will be me #hatemenow #SNME
Cargill has also publicly commented on her heel turn on WWE SmackDown – click here for full details.
