After AAA TripleMania XXXIII, Triple H shared his thoughts on the stars he considers “two of the best” ahead of WWE World Collide.
The recent Mexico pay-per-view saw a four-way match for the AAA Mega Championship, with El Hijo del Vikingo defending the title against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano.
Despite Mysterio’s best efforts, interference from AJ Styles would eventually see Vikingo go on to retain the championship thanks to a pin on the current WWE Intercontinental Champion.
With WWE Worlds Collide taking place on September 12, Mysterio and Vikingo will face each other again and the AAA Mega Championship will, once again, be on the line.
Sharing his thoughts on the match via Twitter, Triple name both competitors in the category of “two of the best in-ring talent of today”, posting:
“#Triplemania’s massive success continues to spotlight @luchalibreaaa momentum.
“Now two of the best in-ring talent of today fight for its biggest prize…
“@vikingo_aaa vs @DomMysterio35 for the AAA Mega Championship. #WorldsCollide”
The post included footage of Mysterio getting heated as he called out AJ Styles for costing him the match at AAA TripleMania.
Mysterio would go on to call out Vikingo before coming face-to-face with his own father, the WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
The pair would exchange words, with the Judgment Day member still blaming AJ Styles and calling himself “the best Mysterio”, with his father going on to warn he should “get off of cloud nine”.
Following TripleMania, Triple H congratulated El Hijo Del Vikingo on his victory, sharing a pointy-finger photo with the AAA Mega Champion.
