Earlier today, WWE confirmed the reports that emerged earlier this month which claimed that NXT would be moving from Wednesdays onto Tuesday nights from next month.
During an interview with Variety, WWE COO Triple H has commented on the move, having the following to say on the matter:
“We now feel like we’re in a good place where we can move that consistent fanbase over to Tuesdays. We believe they’ll follow us. That way we can grow the brand more given the lead-in from ‘Monday Night Raw,’ which we’ve seen in the past,”.
The reason for the change is believed to be down to NBC Sports Network shutting down later this year and Wednesday NHL games moving to the USA Network, as opposed to the success of AEW Dynamite.
