There is another top NJPW star potentially becoming a free agent soon, however this time it is the son of a WWE legend.
According to a report from Fightful Select, there is another notable name who could be set for free agency in the near future.
Current IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion David Finlay is reportedly among those who are set to see their contracts up with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
While the report also notes there are a “huge number of contracts” in NJPW due to be up soon, Finlay may not actually be departing.
Per the report, sources “expect Finlay to remain with the company” as NJPW have expressed interesting in retaining him.
He has been the leader of the villainous professional wrestling stable in NJPW the War Dogs, that also includes among others, Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd.
Finlay, real-life son of WWE legend Fit Finlay, isn’t the only active wrestler from his family.
Elsewhere, David’s real life brother Brogan Finley is signed with WWE and wrestles under the name Uriah Connors.
