A TNA Wrestling faction split up during tonight’s episode of Impact (Thursday, September 11).
On the August 28 edition of TNA Impact, Eric Young attacked Joe Hendry during a backstage segment, leading to the Scottish star challenging Young to a one-on-one match during last week’s broadcast (September 4).
That match was set to happen during tonight’s show, however, Young pulled a bait and switch at the last minute, with Northern Armoury stablemate Travis Williams attacking Hendry from behind before officially taking Young’s place in the match.
After Young and fellow stablemate Judas Icarus were ejected from ringside, Hendry picked up the win over Williams, leading to a violent outburst from Young during the post match.
Young attempted to deliver a Piledriver to Williams, but was stopped by Icarus. This then led to Young instructing Icarus to deliver the move instead, however, after he showed a little too much hesitation Young began attacking both men in frustration, delivering repeated Piledrivers to his protégés.
In an exclusive social media segment Young explained his actions:
“We told them if you’re not a part of the solution then you’re a part of the problem. And the problem is that we hand picked them. We chose them. We chose Judas and Travis to ascend to another level, to make it to a place that they had never been before and they failed us.
“They forced my hand, they forced our hand. This is bigger than me, bigger than us, bigger than them. The truth is we learned a valuable lesson here, we learned that you can’t save them all.”

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella would then confront Young and inform him that he’d be facing Judas Icarus on the September 18 episode of Impact.
Young inherited The Northern Armoury from current AEW star Josh Alexander earlier this year, with Icarus and Williams turning on Alexander to join Young before the former two-time TNA World Champion departed the company.
