There was a big title change during the Netflix premiere episode of WWE Raw that took place tonight, January 6.
With four matches announced ahead of the show, the only one with a championship on the line was for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
In what was announced as a Last Woman Standing match before that stipulation was removed, Liv Morgan defended the title against Rhea Ripley.
Despite attempts from Morgan and her cohorts Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez at ringside, the match ended with a title change.
Putting a stop to Morgan’s 226-day reign, Ripley landed multiple Riptides before pinning Morgan and picking up the win.
After the match, as Ripley was celebrating, she was cut off by a returning Undertaker, who appeared in his ‘American Badass’ persona.
Taker rode his motorcycle around the ring before returning up the ramp to meet Ripley as the two posed together, Ripley with the title belt in hand.
