Three new signings to the WWE NXT developmental system have been confirmed as recruits continue to arrive from recent tryouts.
WWE has already held some tryouts this year, but still has talent coming in from tryouts last year as well.
As reported by PWInsider Elite, SummerSlam 2025 tryout attendee Ahmed Essam has officially joined WWE.
Essam is a wrestler and MMA fighter from Egypt, noting on his social media that he’s a two-time African Champion, a two-time Arab Wrestling Champion, a World Wrestling Champion and an Egyptian Champion.
He recently shared a photo training with NXT‘s Shady Elnahas, who signed with WWE last year and is also originally from Egypt.
Essam actually attended last year’s WWE tryouts in the UK in addition to those during SummerSlam week.
Another WWE signing coming in after attending the SummerSlam tryouts is German CrossFit athlete Delia Schweizer.
Schweizer posted after her tryout that it was “one of the most amazing experiences and opportunities” she’d ever had, and she was “falling in love” with the sport.
Thirdly, Ellen B Akesson has also signed with WWE.
She is a National Arm Wrestling Champion from Sweden, and also National Champion in powerlifting, strongwoman and streetlifting.
She states she’s Sweden’s strongest woman under 63kg and is also a Twitch streamer under the name EllenViking, with a stream a couple of weeks ago saying she’d just moved to Florida.
