The Rock Names Seth Rollins’ Stomp As His Favorite WWE Finisher

The Rock has named Seth Rollins’ curb stomp as his favorite WWE finisher after taking it at WrestleMania 40.

Rock teamed with Roman Reigns against Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the main event of Mania 40 night one in 2024 – the night before Rhodes then beat Reigns in the night two main event to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

During the course of that match, Rock took a curb stomp from Rollins and has now named it as his favorite finisher.

Speaking with Complex, when asked which finisher besides his own could take on Te Ka in Moana, Rock replied:

“I would say Seth Rollins’ stomp. It’s my favorite. I took it at WrestleMania.

“I am a glutton for punishment, so I… there’s some finishing moves I loved taking. His is so iconic and I took that.

“It’s a wild… just a face stomp into the mat. It was cool.”

How Will The Rock Return To WWE

The Rock hasn’t been seen in WWE since he initiated the John Cena heel turn at Elimination Chamber last year, which ended up being something of a disaster given Travis Scott’s disappearance and the subsequent Cena heel run.

It’s been well documented that Rock’s original idea upon returning was actually to turn Cody Rhodes heel, but WWE ended up going with Cena instead.

There is definitely unfinished business between Rock and Rhodes going back to the night after WrestleMania 40, which teased a match between the two, and then the aforementioned Cena heel turn which saw Rock direct him to attack Rhodes.

WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia may be the setting for the eventual Rock vs Rhodes match to finally bring a decisive end to that story.
