She issued a challenge for to Hiromu Takahashi for a mixed six-person tag-team match following Strong Style Evolved, with both of their teammates TBD at that time.

While we still don’t know either of Sakai’s teammates for her final match, Hiromu Takahashi’s team has now been finalised.

Takahashi recently revealed that Mayu Iwatani was the first member of his team, which was later confirmed by NJPW.

The World Tag League 2024 winner has now revealed that Yuka Sakazaki will be his second partner.

After initially making the announcement in a video shared by NJPW, the official graphic has been updated to reveal that Takahashi, Iwatani and Sakazaki will be Sakai’s team’s opponents.

Sakai is set to announce one male and one female teammate ahead of her final match.

While Sakai has been active since April 1997, she arrived on the radars of many US-based wrestling fans during her stint with ROH.

She became the inaugural Women of Honor Champion in April 2018, the promotion’s first women’s world title, which was replaced by the ROH Women’s World Championship in 2021.
