A SmackDown star has taken to social media to pitch a very unique idea for a WWE interview show.

Throughout WWE history there has been many examples of notable WWE stars making appearances in the company long before they’ve made their name in the wrestling business.

Whether as extra talent portraying roles such as security guards, or competing in the ring as an enhancement talent, names such as CM Punk, LA Knight, Sheamus and countless others have been retrospectively spotted in roles such as these after they reached a level of success.

One of the more memorable instances of this was Johnny Gargano making his WWE debut as “Liechtenstein Heavyweight Champion” Cedrick Von Haussen on the March 23, 2007 episode of SmackDown for a match with MVP, and now, Gargano has used his former character as an example in a pitch for a new WWE show titled ‘EXTRA EXTRA HEAR ALL ABOUT IT’.

Taking to Twitter, Gargano outlined his plan for the potential new show:

I want to host a podcast (or a YouTube show) where I interview different former extra talent from @WWE segments throughout the years. But the catch is they’re actually speaking as the character they were that night.. not who they are now.

For example, if there was an interview with Cedrick Von Haussen. The Champion of Lichtenstein is talking.. not Johnny Gargano. I want a 100% improv’d fictional backstory about their life and recollection of that night.

It’s called “EXTRA EXTRA: HEAR ALL ABOUT IT”

Let’s make it happen.

Interestingly, Gargano’s DIY tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa also appeared as an extra during a Ruthless Aggression era episode of SmackDown in 2005, portraying the role of Muhammad Hassan’s lawyer.
