Here’s what happened with Sami Zayn after WWE SmackDown in Montreal, Quebec, Canada went off the air.
Zayn was in action on the August 8 WWE show in his home province, scoring a roll-up victory over US Champion Solo Sikoa.
Sami Zayn’s night didn’t end here, with the Canadian star wrestling again after the live broadcast ended.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Zayn was attacked by El Grande Americano, leading to an impromptu match.
This was the second of two dark matches following the show, with Bayley defeating Raquel Rodriguez prior to Sami Zayn’s off-air appearance.
Following Zayn’s match, he addressed the crowd, speaking to the Canadian fans for six minutes.
A fan video of Zayn in the ring can be seen below or at this link, with Zayn inviting a young fan into the ring while sending the crowd home happy.
While Cody Rhodes is usually the star to address fans at the end of WWE SmackDown tapings, he had been brutally attacked by Drew McIntyre in the closing moments of the live broadcast.
