Ronda Rousey Addresses AEW Revolution Appearance, ‘F**k You’ To WWE & UFC Parent Company TKO

In a new YouTube vlog, Ronda Rousey documented her appearance at the recent AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.

Rousey showed up as a surprise after Toni Storm defeated Rousey’s MMA Four Horsewomen ally and close friend Marina Shafir.

Discussing the reasons for her appearace, Rousey explained that she wanted to do something for Shafir, and also described it as a “f**k you” to WWE and UFC parent company TKO.

She said:

“It’s kind of a cool little bit of a ‘f**k you’ to the TKO group, which is kind of funny, because WWE is on Netflix but I figured it’d be easier to ask for forgiveness instead of permission on this one.

“I’m promoting your show, it’s fine. We didn’t advertise it, it’s not like we boosted the ratings, so it should be fine.”

Rousey make her MMA return in May against Gina Carano in a fight for Most Valuable Promotions which will air on Netflix.

What Does Ronda Rousey Think Of AEW

Before her appearance, Ronda Rousey also gave her thoughts on AEW compared to WWE, saying:

“I’ve never been to an AEW pay-per-view, so I don’t really know what to expect.

“But I’m thinking a less restrictive, more adult version of WWE. Which sounds like a good time. Those are all very good descriptions I feel.”

Will Ronda Rousey Return To AEW

At this time, there don’t appear to be any immediate plans for Ronda Rousey to make another appearance in AEW – but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen down the line.

She won’t be able to do anything physical before the Carano fight anyway, so any future plans would likely have to wait until after that.

However, if she enjoyed having a moment with Marina Shafir, she may be keen to do it again, and she now has an in-built story with Toni Storm that can be played up if she does appear again.

Shafir did refer to Revolution as a “once in a lifetime” moment at the end of Rousey’s vlog.
