News has come to light that a WWE wrestler has potentially sustained a ‘very serious’ injury.
As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, fan-favorite R-Truth may have suffered from a serious injury that could keep him away from the ring for some time.
Meltzer reports:
“This wasn’t confirmed at press time, but the belief was that he tore his quad, which is a very serious injury that could keep him out for a long time.”
R-Truth’s most recent match was on NXT against Grayson Waller on the November 1 edition.
Medical staff were seen accompanying R-Truth out of the ring after a dive over the top rope saw R-Truth land awkwardly on the mat.
Waller was declared the winner of the match as a result of the referee’s decision that Truth could no longer compete.
Waller then cut an impromptu promo in the ring after the match due to it being cut short unexpectedly.
R-Truth’s match with Grayson Waller was set up following an in-ring spot involving NXT North American Champion Wes Lee on October 25.
Wes Lee was addressing the NXT crowd over his win at Halloween Havoc on October 22.
Waller attempted to interrupt proceedings, only for R-Truth’s music to break and he subsequently made his way into the ring, wearing a Joker costume, thinking it was Halloween Havoc.
Wes Lee had to correct the former 24/7 champ and later shared a moving message following this spot, explaining the impression that R-Truth had made on him professionally.
