A WWE star has been announced as out of action “indefinitely” following the events of tonight’s July 7 episode of WWE Raw.

A story thread throughout tonight’s Raw saw Seth Rollins’ faction looking to take out their enemies as Bron Breakker faced Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed faced Jey Uso, and Rollins himself faced Penta.

Zayn was making his entrance for his match against Breakker when he was attacked on the ramp from behind by Karrion Kross, who Zayn recently beat at WWE Night of Champions.

After Kross left, Zayn’s match against Breakker went ahead, and Breakker picked up the win in pretty dominant fashion.

In the locker room later on, Breakker seemed upset that Kross had put an asterisk next to the result, saying that now people were going to doubt whether Breakker could have beaten Zayn if Kross’ attack hadn’t happened.

As Rollins was assuring Breakker not to worry about Kross, Paul Heyman walked in with some news.

Heyman stated that he’d been told Zayn would now be out of action “indefinitely”. We’ll keep you posted if any further details on his absence emerge, as it seems he’ll be off TV for a period of time after tonight.

As of this writing, the Reed vs Uso and Rollins vs Penta matches have yet to take place.
