Paige has named the current NXT stars that she sees as the future of the WWE main roster women’s division.
With Paige yet to make a return to the ring, having departed AEW earlier this year, it seems she is keeping an eye on what’s happening in NXT.
Paige would name three stars, all of whom have held NXT gold and one of who was also a former AEW star as the future of the WWE’s women’s division.
Speaking to PokerScout, Paige would reflect on the work of Sol Ruca, Tatum Paxley, and Blake Monroe, saying:
“I really enjoy watching Sol Ruca, so she’s one of them.
“And Tatum Paxley is really special, too. I think maybe I’m biased to my gothic girls, but I do genuinely think that she’s incredible, and her wrestling is great. Her mic work is great and she’s doing really wonderful things, so I think she’s going to be a big star soon.
“I have to throw Blake Monroe in there, too.”
Ruca is a former NXT Women’s North American Champion and WWE Women’s Speed Champion, while Paxley is a former NXT Women’s Champion.
The current NXT Women’s North American Champion, Blake Monroe was known to AEW fans as Mariah May and held the Women’s World Championship.
NXT stars are set to appear on Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, in exhibition matches against main roster stars on a show that will also feature John Cena’s final match.
