Four NXT stars have appeared on tonight’s September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown at the Kia Center in Orlando.
UPDATE: Je’Von Evans also appeared to answer Sami Zayn’s United States Championship open challenge – his No Mercy opponent Josh Briggs was shown in the crowd as well.
With main roster shows taking place in Orlando, the home of NXT and the WWE Performance Center, NXT star cameos are usually to be expected.
Tonight was no exception, with NXT Women’s North American Champion & WWE Speed Women’s Champion Sol Ruca and her tag team partner Zaria appearing.
They showed up backstage to confront WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, saying their want the next shot at the championship.
Zaria in particular came across aggressive with Ruca trying to calm her down, and Bliss telling them they need to earn a shot at the title before they can have one.
This isn’t the first time Ruca and Zaria have been on SmackDown, as they were on the pre-Evolution episode in July when Ruca had a four-way match ahead of Evolution’s four-way Women’s Tag Team Championship match.
NXT has its No Mercy PLE in Florida tomorrow night in Fort Lauderdale, where Ruca defends her Speed Title against Lainey Reid.
