An NXT star has admitted that she had “imposter syndrome” when first arriving in WWE due to wrestling not being her dream job growing up.

Speaking on What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon, NXT’s Sol Ruca opened up about living with ADHD and the “imposter syndrome” she felt early on in WWE:

“That’s another thing with ADHD, I have so many interests and hobbies that I get into for a short amount of times, long amount of times and then forget about.

“When I first got here I felt, somewhat imposter syndrome because a lot of people in this business, this is what they’ve wanted to do their entire lives, grew up watching it and all that stuff.

“For me I had a million different things I wanted to do and I never had, ‘This is my dream job.’ I did for little bursts of time but I also think it’s kind of cool that I’ve been able to pick up things and excel at stuff and then move on and excel at this and try this thing. I think ADHD, it sucks but it’s kind of cool.”

Ruca signed with WWE in March 2022 with a background in gymnastics and tumbling, and has since become one of the company’s brightest female stars.

As well as achieving success in NXT by winning the WWE Women’s North American and Speed Championships, Ruca has recently shone on the main roster as well, defeating Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 and reaching the final three of the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble.
