A New Japan Pro Wrestling star has announced that they are cleared to return after a recent cancer diagnosis.
El Phantasmo recently announced that doctors had found a small tumour of cancer, leading to him taking an indefinite leave from the promotion.
Well, after two months away, Phantasmo has officially beaten cancer, and has been cleared to return to the ring in NJPW!
El Phantasmo made his return to NJPW at today’s show, where he confronted the House of Torture and Ren Narita in the ring, fighting them off.
Phantasmo then announced that he had been officially cleared to return to New Japan, and set his sights on Narita’s NJPW World Television Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4.
Phantasmo will be a part of the four-way for the title also involving champion Narita, Jeff Cobb and Ryohei Oiwa.
