Nikki Cross’ in-ring return appearance has been announced, with it currently set to be her first match following her recent departure from WWE.
Nikki Cross and the rest of the Wyatt Sicks made up five of over 25 stars reported to be leaving WWE in late-April, as part of the latest round of talent cuts.
Amid speculation about her wrestling future, Cross – now billed as Nikki Storm – has been announced to be competing at an independent event in July.
PROGRESS Wrestling has announced that Nikki Storm will be in action at the July 26 Chapter 196: Scorchio event at the Electric Ballroom in London, England.
Stating that they’ll announce Storm’s opponent “soon”, PROGRESS shared the following announcement on Twitter:
🚨 HUGE NEWS 🚨 Nikki Storm (formerly Nikki Cross) will be competing at Chapter 196: Scorchio on Sunday 26th July!
We are delighted to have Nikki wrestling and we will be announcing her opponent soon 👀
Nikki has now re-shared this announcement post, writing:
Summer of Storm. Let’s go 🔥

While she regularly appeared alongside the Wyatt Sicks on WWE TV, Storm’s most recent televised match saw her team with Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan and Joe Gacy to defeat Chad Gable, Brutus Creed, Julius Creed and Ivy Nile on the September 9, 2024 Raw episode.
Her most recent match altogether saw her team with Lumis, Rowan and Gacy against the Final Testament at a house show in December 2024.
Interestingly, PROGRESS frequently works with Nikki’s former SAnitY tag-team partners Big Damo (her real-life husband, fka Killian Dain) and Axel Tischer (Alexander Wolfe), who reunited with one another for the first time outside of WWE at PROGRESS Chapter 133: Stop Motion Skeleton Battle in May 2022.
With Damo and Tischer most recently wrestling for PROGRESS in April and February respectively, it would be a full-circle moment to see the duo make an appearance for Nikki Storm’s debut for the promotion.
