Nikki Bella on WWE TV

An injury update has emerged regarding WWE Hall of Famer after an issue during this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

After the Bella Twins’ match against Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair on SmackDown, a four-way brawl broke out between those two teams, the Irresistible Forces, and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria.

However, down on the outside while this took place was Nikki Bella, who was being checked on by the referee and WWE ringside doctor Chris Amann.

Bella did appear in a backstage segment a few minutes later, but a new update has now emerged.

As reported by PWInsider, the belief in WWE is that Bella suffered a left ankle injury, rolling her ankle during an exchange with Charlotte Flair.

She was checked out backstage, but at this point there’s no further news on the severity of the issue.

Nikki Bella looks to be involved in plans for WrestleMania 42, as those four teams have seemed likely to be in a four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, which is currently held by the Irresistible Forces.

We’ll keep you posted if there’s any further news on Bella and whether the WrestleMania plans will be affected by her injury.

We wish Nikki Bella all the best for her recovery.

WWE May Be Forced To Replace Nikki Bella At WrestleMania 42

With Nikki Bella’s injury occuring less than a month before WrestleMania 42, WWE may be forced to replace her in the planned Women’s Tag Team Title four-way.

While one solution would be to remove the Bella Twins from the match, that would be somewhat unfair on Nikki’s sister Brie Bella unless there were alternative plans for her elsewhere on the card.

The best bet would likely be for Brie to strike up an alliance with someone else who could come in as her new tag team partner.

You can find a list of six of those potential replacements by clicking here.
