The latest update has emerged on the WWE return of Bron Breakker following his recent absence due to injury.

Breakker has been off WWE TV since early February after undergoing surgery for a hernia.

Breakker seemed to be heading to a WrestleMania 42 match against Seth Rollins, who has just returned from his own lengthy injury layoff.

In a new update on Breakker’s progress, PWInsider Elite reports that he is expected to be at the Performance Center this coming week.

This would be the latest step towards him being cleared to make an in-ring return, which WWE has been hopeful but not certain would be in time for WrestleMania.

Who Will Bron Breakker Face At WWE WrestleMania 42

It appears that if Bron Breakker returns in time, his planned WrestleMania match against Seth Rollins will go ahead now that Rollins has been back on TV for a few weeks.

In Breakker’s absence, it would have seemed that Bronson Reed would potentially replace him as Rollins’ opponent, but Reed suffered a long-term injury after Breakker’s surgery as well.

Logan Paul filled the spot in the Elimination Chamber match and remains an option for Rollins if Breakker isn’t back in time, although it looks like Paul and Austin Theory could be set for a World Tag Team Championship match against The Usos.

In the seemingly unlikely scenario that Breakker returns in time for Mania but Rollins isn’t his opponent, one option as someone who has been feuding with The Vision and doesn’t have a clear direction for WrestleMania yet would be LA Knight.

However, it does seem incredibly likely that Breakker vs Rollins will be the match if Breakker is back in time.
