George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers has made many appearances in the crowd for WWE events, including at WrestleMania 39, where he got physical during Pat McAfee’s impromptu match with The Miz.

Speaking on Club Shay Shay, Seth Rollins was asked about which celebrities he thinks would do well in wrestling, with Kittle’s name specifically coming up.

Rollins noted that he has ‘no doubt’ that Kittle will wrestle for WWE once he’s retired from the NFL.

He said:

“Kittle loves it. He loves it. I think when he’s retired he’s gonna come and do at least one match.

“Once the 9ers are like, he’s done with his playing career and he’s waiting for that Hall of Fame, no doubt about it he’s gonna come and do one.”

Rollins noted that he’s fine with it, telling younger talent that may be frustrated that it was ‘never your spot’.

He added:

“I’m fine with it. I think as a talent it can be frustrating because you feel like, if they’re in a big spotlight, you’re like ‘ah they’re taking somebody’s spot’.

“But at the end of the day, I mean this nicely and would say this to my younger self too, that was never your spot. It wasn’t gonna have the same impact.

“The reason we are able to bring these influencers, actors or whoever into the fray is to get new eyes on the product, and those new eyes then they can find you. Otherwise they’re not gonna find you.

“That’s a tough lesson to learn I think as a young talent, because you want those opportunities, but yeah, I think it’s great. Not all of them are like Logan.

“He can do it and he developed a passion for it quickly. I don’t know that he thought, because he’s pretty much full-time now, every week he’s there, and I don’t know that when he started that’s what- here’s this fun thing I get to do, he’s all about making money, he’s getting paid and gets to do this fun thing that’s sort of fight adjacent.

“I think he got addicted to it. He got addicted to the process, and when you get hooked that way, it’s hard to let it go, so there’s not a lot of him. Most of them are like a Speed who gets in the Rumble and gets murked by Bron Breakker and you don’t wanna come back. Like I’m good.”
