A main roster WWE star has given a recent ID signing an endorsement ahead of their debut on NXT television.
During the Tuesday, December 16 episode of NXT, Ava announced plans to determine WWE Men’s Speed Champion Jasper Troy’s first challenger, after the WWE LFG Season One winner captured the gold last month.
The four-man tournament, which kicks off on the December 23 episode of NXT and concludes the following week on December 30, will feature Lexis King taking on Andre Chase and Tavion Heights facing off with WWE ID recruit Eli Knight.
The appearance will mark Knight’s first in-ring appearance on NXT, having previously only being featured on Evolve since signing his WWE ID contract in October.
Following the announcement, Knight took to Twitter in reaction, writing:
First match on NXT..
You know what time it is
It wasn’t just Knight who commented on his upcoming debut however, as Monday Night Raw’s Grayson Waller also gave the young American star an endorsement on social media.
Taking to Twitter, Waller wrote:
Keep your eyes on Eli Knight
For those interested in how Knight fared in his WWE NXT debut, the December 23 and December 30 episodes were taped in advance yesterday at the Performance Center in Orlando – with full details available here.
