An update has emerged on Lyra Valkyria’s next WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship challenger, with a #1 contender’s match announced.

Valkyria became the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the January 13 edition of Raw, defeating Dakota Kai in the finals of a tournament for the new gold.

While Valkyria hasn’t defended the gold since then, we now know that her first title challenger will be determined on Monday’s (February 17) Raw episode.

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Dakota Kai will face Ivy Nile in a #1 contender’s bout, with the winner earning a shot at Valkyria’s gold.

You can watch Pearce’s announcement video below, which he ended by sending a message of support to Chris Bey.

Valkyria has wrestled twice since winning the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. She was in action in the women’s Royal Rumble match, which Charlotte Flair ultimately won.
