WWE has shared footage of Lil Yachty undergoing training at the Performance Center alongside Trick Williams, as the Grammy-nominated rapper targets a future in-ring debut.

While his fandom for WWE was no secret beforehand, Lil Yachty has truly embraced professional wrestling in a whole new way since aligning with Trick Williams on the road to WrestleMania 42.

Earning the respect of fans with his entertaining performances and chemistry with “Trick Willy”, Yachty confirmed that, unlike other celebrities who appeared at WrestleMania 42, he would be sticking around in WWE full-time going forward.

Now that his position is solidified on WWE TV, it appears as if “Lil Boat” has his next target in his sights in WWE: compete in his very first match.

WWE today posted footage of Yachty training in the WWE PC alongside the WWE United States Champion, with the rapper being shown working out, performing rolls, and taking his first bumps.

In the video, Yachty discusses his motivation for pursuing WWE, explaining that, unlike music, which he has done as a job for a decade, WWE feels like a fresh challenge for him.

Stating that his goal is to eventually “try whooping some ass” in a WWE ring, Yachty said:

“I ain’t worked out in five years, but I’ve been doing music for 10 years. I’m a creator, I understand it like the back of my hand. There’s not really any challenge in that.

“This is new for me I’m at ground zero, level zero, so it’s a challenge and testing my body and limits in ways I’ve never done before. So it’s fresh, it’s new.

“I enjoy the pain, I enjoy the struggle cause I feel like I’m working and I’m always setting goals.

With Trick helping Yachty get up to speed at the WWE PC, the rapper heaped praise on the US Champion for being a positive influence on him:

“Trick is such a good influence and I learn a lot just from being around him. So I enjoy just learning a way of living that I might have not learned in my environment.”

While Yachty has his eyes firmly on a future WWE in-ring debut, the early stages of his training journey were not without some discomfort.

Speaking on “day two” of his path to competing in the squared circle, Yachty said:

“My back hurts, my arms hurt, my legs hurt, my head hurts. I’m tired, exhausted, no breath. This is terrible. But day two so…”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Yachty’s in-ring plans, as during an appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast last month, Trick Williams stated that Yachty wanted to become “one of the boys” in WWE and compete in a match in the future.

It’s unclear when Yachty’s WWE in-ring debut may come around, but we will provide further updates if/when they become available.
