John Cena has acknowledged a top WWE star following their appearance on SmackDown, having recently called him out.
Cena is currently preparing for a huge match at WrestleMania 41, with the 16-time world champion set to challenge for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship.
If John Cena is victorious, he will break the record for the most WWE-recognised world title wins, which he and Ric Flair are current joint holders of.
Cena has now taken to Instagram – where he posts with no captions or context – to share a photo of Charlotte Flair with the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Many have interpreted Cena’s post – which you can view below – as acknowledgement of Flair’s recent comments.
Charlotte Flair recently called Cena out for saying that he will make fans forget about Ric Flair, with Charlotte noting that she intends to break the world title record herself, regardless of whether Cena wins a 17th world championship at WrestleMania.
Some believe Cena could also be giving Flair a shoutout following the April 4 edition of SmackDown, during which she traded personal insults with Tiffany Stratton in a segment which was reportedly “off script quite a bit.”
Stratton’s real-life boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser has reacted to Charlotte Flair referencing him during this segment, which you can read more about right here.
