Jey Uso has addressed the live fan reaction to his April 7 WWE Raw promo that saw the crowd “yeeting” during his heartfelt delivery.
During the promo, Jey Uso was focused as he spoke to his WrestleMania 41 opponent, WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.
With the previous week having seen GUNTHER attack Jimmy Uso, Jey would share his fear that he hadn’t been able to protect his brother during the April 7 promo, something he admitted to his own mother.
During a recent appearance on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, Jey Uso opened up about the heartfelt promo.
Speaking about the fan reaction in the venue, Jey Uso said it was an easy one to deliver, but it’s hard to command silence, saying:
“It was easy for me to be real because I did talk about my mom. When telling people to be quiet, it’s hard to command silence. I’m telling the people to be quiet.
“That’s a whole different game. You always want people to cheer and pop for you out here, I’m telling the crowd to chill so y’all could feel this.
“I did feel they were wilding out a little bit at the beginning, but by the end of the promo, I had them in the palm of my hand.”

Having promised Jey Uso hell in the run-up to their WrestleMania 41 match, GUNTHER later addressed the attack on Jimmy Uso.
GUNTHER has also spoken about the ten-week build to the match on April 19, 2025, at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
