NXT’s Je’Von Evans has shared his first comments after answering Sami Zayn’s US Championship open challenge.
Je’Von Evans appeared on the September 26 show to challenge Sami Zayn for the US Championship in what was his second ever match on SmackDown, following a one-off tag-team bout in May.
While Evans was ultimately unsuccessful, he got the chance to prove why many believe he’s the future of WWE.
WWE NXT has now shared a video of Evans following the match, ahead of his No Mercy clash with Josh Briggs.
Sending a message to Briggs following his interference in the match, Evans said:
“Bro, what a crazy experience. It was an honor, answering the US challenge, you feel me? My first opportunity at the United States Championship, and the Young OG almost won, but Sami Zayn came off on top. I appreciate him.
“But then Josh Briggs had the nerve to come and interfered in my business. So Briggs, at No Mercy, I’m not just going to win, I’mma beat your ass, and that’s facts.”
