A former WWE NXT star made his debut for ROH at tonight’s tapings after AEW Collision in Lakeland, Florida.
The Collision taping for this week’s episode on Saturday was followed by some ROH matches that will air on Honor Club in the coming weeks.
One of the matches was a mixed six-person tag team match that featured the debut of a former NXT star.
Javier Bernal, who was released by WWE a few months ago and now wrestles as Core Kid Javi, made his ROH debut, teaming with Gabriel Aeros and Carolina Cruz, the latter of whom was also signed with NXT but never debuted on TV.
They faced another trio of former WWE stars – the Grizzled Young Veterans and Isla Dawn.
This actually marks Dawn’s ROH debut as well, although she already made her AEW debut this past August when she faced Megan Bayne on Collision in Glasgow, Scotland.
GYV – the team of James Drake and Zack Gibson – recently confirmed they are signed to AEW.
Tonight’s ROH tapings also notably featured Oro (Mensah), who was also a recent NXT release who had already debuted for ROH a few weeks ago, against AEW Death Riders member Wheeler Yuta.
