Return plans for WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega champion Dominik Mysterio have now been confirmed, with Mysterio announced for an upcoming show.
El Hijo Del Vikingo is set to challenge for Dominik Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship, previously defeating El Grande Americano in a #1 contender’s match on the January 17 AAA on FOX show.
Dominik Mysterio’s return appearance following an injury hiatus has been announced, with Mysterio set to appear in person on the February 7 AAA show in Querétaro, Mexico.
AAA confirmed this, following Dominik Mysterio confirming in a video message on the January 31 show, that he will defend his title against El Hijo Del Vikingo at Rey de Reyes on March 14 in Puebla, Mexico.
In the video, Dominik told Vikingo:
“You’ll be in the main event thanks to me, Dominik Mysterio, facing me for my Mega Championship, and not only that, but we’ll be in your hometown of Puebla at Rey de Reyes.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re coming or going from the arena, believe me, the people of Puebla will butcher you, because you don’t belong, and I am the king.
“So, Vikingo, I’ll see you in Puebla, because it’ll be the last time I humiliate you, and it’ll be the last time you’ll be in the ring with me. At Rey de Reyes, we’ll once again crown the King of the Luchadores, Dirty Dominik Mysterio.”

Dominik Mysterio hasn’t wrestled since the December 20 AAA Guerra De Titanes show, with the WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega champion suffering a shoulder injury while teaming with El Grande Americano against Rey Fenix and Rey Mysterio.
It was reported shortly after this that Mysterio wouldn’t require surgery to recover from his injury.
