A current champion has been announced for her first match in WWE since September 2023.
At WWE NXT Heatwave on Sunday, August 24, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jacy Jayne will defend her title in a three-way against Masha Slamovich and former WWE star Ash By Elegance.
While the match was set to be Ash By Elegance’s first match back in WWE since her departure in September 2023, she has now been announced for a different WWE match taking place before next Sunday’s Premium Live Event.
As confirmed by WWE NXT on social media, Ash will team with M By Elegance & Heather By Elegance to take on Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) in a six woman tag team match on the August 19 episode of NXT in Philadelphia.
Reacting to the announcement on Twitter, Ash wrote:
Elegance is gracing @WWENXT
While she has appeared on NXT during WWE’s partnership with TNA, Ash hasn’t competed inside a WWE ring since the September 12, 2023 episode of NXT – where she lost to Lyra Valkyria.
Competing under the name Dana Brooke, Ash spent 10 years signed to WWE, winning the 24/7 Championship 14-times during her tenure.
Ash By Elegance signed with TNA in January 2024, and currently co-holds the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships alongside Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance.
While Ash pursues Jacy Jayne’s title, Heather and M successfully defended the titles at last night’s TNA Emergence event – defeating Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, as well as The IInspiration and the team of Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside.
